This year has been more of a struggle for me to do my daily photos. I cannot count how many times I missed. More than I did the other two years for sure.

I probably will continue with some type of daily photos...but am not going to continue posting them here on this blog.

12/30 Art Museum

I must admit the girls were not on board to attend the Phoenix Art museum today. I really wanted to go and have had tickets since May to attend. So, off we went. Amazingly enough they did enjoy themselves and gave me 2 hours of art history bliss. I think it is so important for our girls to be exposed to fine arts and culture. Besides, they need to know that mom and dad do have other interests and passions too.

Yes...we went to see the Squeakquel on Christmas morning.

I could not believe how many people were at the movies.

It was very different and fun for us.

My girls are 7 today!

We had a small family gathering today on their birthday.

On Saturday we are having the kid party at McDonalds.

Gotta love those crowns...they got them at school.

It was the children's performance in church today.

Miss A sang and Miss C. was brave enough to remain on stage.

11/28 Botanical Gardens

I got a culture pass at our local library and we went to the Gardens today.

The girls had never been.

Our weather has been wonderful and the girls loved being able to run a bit too.

We also went into the Monarch Butterfly exhibit. It was a highlight for the girls.

They loved being able to be so close to the butterflies.

We went to the light parade Friday night.

It was a fun community parade with girl scouts, our Sheriff and even Santa.

The girls were very thankful they got to ride today.

They are doing great on the horses and able to ride them pretty much on their own.

We had a great day with family enjoying their company.

Our church had a huge picnic today at a local park.

They had tons of activities...including fishing.

The girls both designed their pumpkin faces while Mommy carved them out.

The girls had a blast feeding the animals, playing and getting to ride a horse.

We had record heat this weekend...the fam all but me got into grammy's pool one last time.

My mom was in surgery today for a shoulder replacement...I waited outside in the prayer garden at the new B@nner G@tew@y Hospital.

It is beautiful and makes the hospital feel less industrial. My mom ended up staying in the hospital for 4 nights.

I came home with 4 different ones to add some variety into our menu for the next few weeks.

I was surprised it did not take as long as I thought it would to get prepared...although, I would not want to cook an entire month of meals...no thanks. lol

Our church had a wonderful women's event today.

My friend and I went for the evening session.

We were totally impressed at all the fun treats and decorations they did.

It was so refreshing for me to get out with other women of faith.

We had a great time at the water park.

It was a private party for our twins club.

The girls loved the high dive boards and went off for the first time ever.

I was on my way to watch a movie this morning when I received a call from the school health office. Ms. A needed a breathing treatment. I turned around and headed home to get her mask and medicine. They let me administer the medicine myself.

Hopefully, she will kick this cold soon.

Imagine with me....a little girl with mussed up bed head hair, red irritated nose and still in her PJ's watching Barbie movies. This was our day yesterday.

This is a record for us...called in sick on the 2nd day of school.

Miss C got on the bus with no issues...they both are maturing so much.

I had a vision of the photo I wanted to take...somehow, I never took it!

Well sort of...Miss A left home sneezing and came home with a full blown cold.

They have a team taught class this year one teacher in the am and one in the pm.

Should be interesting.

The teachers were worried that they could not tell them apart.

So I found out about Jump and Shout at the end of the summer.

It is a huge indoor play place...perfect for beating the heat here in AZ.

The girls played and ran for a solid 2 hours.

We will be going back here again.

It now really feels like the end of summer with them completed.

The worked on the freestyle, backstroke and breast stroke this year.

I hope they continue taking lessons and possibly explore getting on a swim team in the future.

Miss C lost her 3rd tooth today.

She ate an apple this morning and it was wiggly...she worked on it all day and it was out before bed time tonight.

The girls used their bug vacuum to capture a preying mantis this morning.

It worked like a charm. They had to release him before going to church.

We hit the Dinosaur Museum this afternoon.

On the first Sunday of the month the admission is free.

It was packed...but the girls enjoyed visiting again.

We got new shoes for the girls today.

They have laces and the first practice session went really well.

They surprised me as usual.

I was really dreading them learning and did not want to get the shoes.

Alas, they have big girl shoes now!

We went over to my friend Sandi's house today.

We ate lunch, did sand art and then swam.

The girls really play well together even though we only see them like once or twice a year. lol

We need to change it up a bit I think.
